Mensah Picks Thomas Partey Ahead Of Rodri And Casimero As Best Defensive Midfielder In EPL

Ghana and Columbus Crew centre-back Jonathan Mensah has joined the argument over who is the best defensive midfielder in the English Premier League. 

Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey has come head-to-head with Manchester United's Brazilian star Casimero in the ongoing debate. 

Ghanaian journalist Juliet Bawuah threw out the question on social media, including Manchester City's Rodri, asking who the best among the three players is. 

Mensah, who was replying to the question did not hesitate to pick his compatriot Partey. 

"T for Thomas," wrote Mensah in the comment section as quoted by Pulse.

 Partey has been key to Arsenal's blistering campaign so far as the Gunners comfortably sit top of the Premier League table, five points adrift of close rivals Manchester City.

 With the Ghana international in Arsenal's squad, they are yet to lose a league game. 

Meanwhile, five-time UEFA Champions League winner Casimero has been pivotal to Manchester United's epic turn around this season, as they remain unbeaten in their last 16 games. 

While Partey and Casimero hog the headlines, Rodri has been City's unsung hero this season.
