"Many Thanks": Lionel Messi Pens Touching Message After Receiving Guard Of Honour From PSG Teammates

Lionel Messi penned a touching message in appreciation of the awesome gesture by the staff and players of Paris Saint-Germain.

Messi, who guided Argentina to their first World Cup since 1986, finally made a return to training on Wednesday morning following his extended break.

The 35-year-old playmaker was given a guard of honour by his teammates and staff of the club on his return.

Overwhelmed by the unfettered love shown to him by the club, Messi took to the photo-sharing App, Instagram, to express his gratitude.

“Many thanks to my teammates and everyone at the club for the welcome they gave me. We're back and looking forward to continuing to achieve our objectives for this season, now with PSG.” Messi wrote as quoted by PSGhub.

Meanwhile, there was no Kylian Mbappe, the man whom Messi beat in the final, or Hakimi, as they enjoy a break in New York, the United States, Daily Mail notes.
