How Luka Modric started
Luka Modric was born on 9 September in the year 1985, he is a Croatian professional footballer, he plays as a midfielder for the La Liga club called Real Madrid and is also the captain of the Croatia national team. Not only just he plays as a midfielder, but he also plays as an attacking midfielder or as a defensive midfielder. He is greatly regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of all time and also the ever greatest Croatian footballer.
In the year 2002, he was signed by the Dinamo Zagreb at the age of 16; he did so well in Zagreb before he played on a loan for Zrinjski Mostar and Inter Zapresic. Modric made his first debut for Dinamo in the year 2005, this led to him winning three consecutive league titles and domestic cups, named the Prva HNL Player of the year that was in the year 2007.
He later moved to a Premier League club called Tottenham Hotspur for a transfer of £16.5 million, where he led Spurs to their first UEFA Champions League, almost reaching the quarter-finals of the 2010-2011 tournaments.
In the year 2012, he joined Real Madrid for a deal transfer of £30 million transfer fee. He won twenty-one major trophies for Real Madrid which include five UEFA Champions League titles, three La-Liga titles, one Copa Del Rey and four FIFA Club World Cup titles. He the year 2019, he was awarded the Golden Foot award for career results and personality.
