Louis Van Gaal's Wife Narrates how Her Husband Cried After Manchester United Sacking

Former Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal’s wife Truus has come out to claim she ‘senses’ her husband was going to be sacked at Old Trafford.

Van Gaal was brutally shown the door by United despite winning the FA Cup in 2016 after what was another average season for the Red Devils.

According to Truus, she noted a change in behaviour towards them from the legendary ir Alex Ferguson.

Multiple reports have claimed Van Gaal only learnt he was going to be dismissed hours after the final whistle after the FA Cup triumph over Crystal Palace.

The Sun further claims that at the time, United were engaged in secret talks with Jose Mourinho, who succeeded Van Gaal after the Dutchman’s dismissal.

Truus spoke in an Amazon Prime documentary about her hubby’s life where she revealed the tactician broke down in tears after learning he had lost the Manchester job.

"I knew Louis would be fired by Manchester United. I felt it.” She said as quoted on Manchester Evening News.

"We had a small boardroom there and it was always fun with the old legends, Ferguson, Bobby Charlton. We had a table there with good food and drinks.

"Suddenly, they stopped greeting us, just waved from afar. Something was wrong. It was female intuition.

"I said, 'Louis, you're going to be fired. Get wise to it.' And I slammed the door of the apartment shut.

Distraught

Van Gaal was reportedly extremely distraught after learning he had been sacked, and wondered why the club ‘had to spoil his party’.

"His voice sounded broken. When I came home, I could see he'd been crying. I hugged him. I had tears in my eyes too."

Van Gaal has also previously spoken on the sack in the past where he claimed United treated him extremely poorly.
