Liverpool Forward Salah allegedly spotted meeting with PSG owner

You can spot a person with a haircut similar to Salah in the picture.

A few days ago, Mo posted a selfie in a similar hoodie to the one that the person in the picture above wears.

Liverpool fans have two theories regarding the alleged meeting.

Salah-to-PSG theory

The Egyptian has been linked with a move to PSG for quite a long time and some fans believe Al-Khelaifi is trying to lay the groundwork for a possible move.

"The fella on the left is 100% PSG's owner. Absolutely reeks of Salah going to PSG that," one fan tweeted.

Qataris buying Liverpool theory

Egyptian journalist Ismael Mahmood tweeted this on Monday: "Nasser Al-Khelaifi is a great fan and lover of Mohamed Salah. He aimed to bring him to Paris Saint-Germain.

"The Paris Saint-Germain and Qatar project will end in 2024. Now Mohamed Salah will be one of the pillars of the Qatar project with Liverpool."

So some fans see the alleged Salah–Al-Khelaifi meeting as a sign of a possible bid by the Qatari owners.

"Qatar used PSG to help bolster their World Cup and they’re planning on letting go of them soon, they’re going to buy a much bigger club in Liverpool and therefore salah will be the centre piece of their new project," one supporter tweeted.

"He’s wearing this hoodie in the meeting with Qataris… ARAB MONEYYYY," another fan reacted to Salah's selfie.

Are any of these theories true?

Neither looks likely and here is why.

First of all, there is no confirmation that Salah and Al-Khelaifi met. The people in the photo might look like them but it's not been confirmed.

Secondly, there have been no recent reports in the media linking Salah with a move to PSG. All these rumours died off when Mo signed a new deal with Liverpool last summer.

Thirdly, regarding a potential Qatari takeover, Bloomberg recently claimed that the PSG owners are interested in buying Liverpool. However, Qatari news agencies stay quiet on the issue — they probably would have published something had it really been happening.
