La Liga: Barcelona cannot spend more than '€10m on deadline' day
Barcelona's spending cap for transfer deadline day has been set at €10m by La Liga as revealed by Mundo Deportivo.
The Blaugrana are only allowed to use a maximum of 40% of what they received in the sale of Memphis Depay to Atletico Madrid. Also, the departure of Gerard Pique adds to a small margin to what Barca can spend today.
Javier Tebas hinted in his chat with COPE on Monday that Barcelona have some room to sign a player on deadline day but they have to be Careful.
"It is true that Barça have an amount for registrations, after Memphis and Pique’s departures. They will have to decide. Next season, Barca's deficit is expected to be more than €200M, let’s see when they start to reduce their wage bill,” Tebas said.
Multiple reports claim Barca will explore the option of signing a player on loan due to their small margin.
