The Portugal star has reportedly been pretty vocal about his displeasure at being an unused substitute in recent games, and is now seen as disruptive.

Now it appears that it won't be a good break up at all, with the 28-year-old also not happy with a section of City's fan base, yes they do exist.

According to a number of the club's bigger social media fan accounts, they've been blocked by their soon to be former player since the news broke.

"Joao Cancelo has blocked anyone who is affiliated with Manchester City on Instagram. He must have left on really bad terms to do such a petty thing," one fan said.

"He going to be releasing a City diss track soon," another joked, but after all it did work really well for Shakira.

Many made another joke, suggesting he'd been poor this season, with one such post saying, "To be fair that's his first decent block of the season."

Talking about the reports of a breakdown in the dressing room a fourth replied, "After this I'm not even feeling sorry at all for Cancelo , this shows how big negative impact he was creating inside the City camp."

And deciding to wash their hands of the player, another summed up City fan's feelings, noting, "Better hope Bayern buy him or he's playing with the reserves."

He isn't the only full back who could be leaving the club in the near future, with Kyle Walker being pursued by Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

Nathan Ake and Rico Lewis have recently replaced Cancelo and Walker as Guardiola's first choice full backs.
