Interesting Stats Show Joao Felix's Was Chelsea's Most Impressive Player vs Fulham Despite Red Card

Joao Felix was incredibly one of Chelsea’s better players on Thursday, January 12, despite getting sent off in the 58th minute.

Barely 24 hours after he was confirmed as a Chelsea player on loan for the remainder of the season, Felix was already integrated into the squad by underfire boss Graham Potter.

Despite a positive start from the visitors, it was their former man Willian who gave them the lead in the first half, before defender Kalidou Koulibaly equalized in the second period, as reported on BBC.

Fulham would however have the last laugh as Vinicius struck the winner with 17 minutes to go to condemn Chelsea to yet another Premier League defeat.

How did Joao Felix perform

It took many by surprise that Graham Potter would integrate Joao Felix so early after his loan signing.

However, the Atletico Madrid man showed glimpses of what was to come with his new side, and stats from OptaJoe suggests he was arguably the best Chelsea player on the pitch despite being sent off for a horrific lunge on Fulham defender Kenny Tete.

The 23-year-old had the most shots, shots on target and successful take ons of any player at Craven Cottage on Thursday despite lasting less than an hour.
