"He Seems Genuinely Happy.": Fans React As Video Emerges With Ronaldo Cracking Jokes In The Tunnel Before Al Nassr's 2-0 Win

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner completed his mega-money move to the Saudi Arabian giants on Tuesday, putting pen to paper on a deal until 2025.

Ronaldo left Manchester United in November after a controversial interview with Piers Morgan in which he criticised manager Erik ten Hag plus the club's hierarchy.

His final few months at Old Trafford were miserable for all parties, with the Portugal superstar desperate to leave and ten Hag unconvinced he could fit in his system.

Since swapping Europe for Asia, Ronaldo has had a spring in his step.

The 37-year-old can be seen joking with Saudi officials, even grabbing one of them in a fit of laughter.

Al Ta'ee's coach, who is also Portuguese, is in attendance as Ronaldo tells his story. It's a stark contrast to Ronaldo's attitude around Carrington.

Ronaldo reportedly sat alone in the canteen, away from other United players, while regularly flapping his arms in a frustrated manner during training.

He scored three goals for United this term, with only one of those coming in the Premier League.

Supporters online are convinced he'll be back to his best for Al Nassr now he's in a better headspace.

One person said: "All jokes aside, he seems genuinely happy."

A second tweeted: "This man looks content with life and I'm glad about that."

Another added: "The calm and happiness of a guy making £200 million for playing football with unknown players."

While someone cynically tweeted: "Lionel Messi turned this guy into a comedian."

Ronaldo confirmed his 20-year career in Europe is over during his unveiling press conference.

During his time at Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus, the Portugal superstar won 30 major honours, including five Champions League titles.

He told reporters: "I’m so proud to make this decision in my life and football. For me it’s a new challenge I’m glad Al Nassr gave me this new opportunity.

"The welcome was amazing for me and my family and I’m already proud. When I take my decisions, my family always support me, especially my kids.

"I want to change the mentality of the new generation. I am so proud at making this big decision in my life and my career. My work in Europe is done. I played for all the most important clubs."
