He makes you plus one: Recalling what Ancelotti once said about Ronaldo as two meet again
Cristiano Ronaldo met with his former manager Carlo Ancelotti during Real Madrid's training in Saudi Arabia ahead of the Spanish Super Cup final.
During Ronaldo's time as a Real Madrid player, Ancelotti revealed just how much edge the Portuguese striker gives the team when he plays.
In Carlo's words, "Ronaldo is a fantastic player and a fantastic professional. I said when Cristiano plays we start the game 1-nil."
Ancelotti wasn't joking with that statement. He clarified by saying: "It could be a joke but it's the reality."

Ronaldo was so good for Real Madrid that he scored more goals than the games he played.
Under Ancelotti, Ronaldo scored 112 goals in 101 games. Thus, Carlo was spot-on with his assessment mathematically.
The 37-year-old remains Real Madrid's greatest-ever scorer with 450 goals in 438 games. He also registered 131 assists in those nine illustrious years.
