'He has so much ego, I don't get it': John Obi Mikel names his favourite player between Messi and Ronaldo

"I’ve never been a Ronaldo fan really," former Nigeria and Chelsea star John Obi Mikel has told Dubai Eye, via Goal.

"For me, when a player has so much ego, I don't really get it. He's never been one of my favourite players and that's why I always go for Messi really.

"I mean, if someone comes out and gives such an interview [Ronaldo's  interview with Piers Morgan], what makes you think, if he signs for your club in January, he won't do the same?" the 35-year-old also said.

Cristiano Ronaldo gave Piers Morgan an explosive interview, blaming almost everyone for his situation at Manchester United bar himself. The same day, Leo Messi came up with a heartfelt interview that was generally appreciated much more than Ronaldo's.

The Red Devils have terminated the Portuguese's contract by mutual consent.
