Ghana Forward Inaki Williams Breaks Real Madrid Legends La Liga Record

Black Stars forward Inaki Williams has become the first player to play all La Liga games for six consecutive years.

Williams breaks the record set by Real Madrid legends Ipiña and Alberto Di Stéfano, who played every single La Liga game for five successive years, from 1955 to 1960.

The Ghana international set the new record after featuring in Athletic Bilbao's final game of the year against Real Betis.

Williams also holds the record of the most successive games in La Liga.

The 28-year-old has been in a good run of form this season, scoring five goals in the Spanish topflight league.

The one-time capped Spain national team player, switched nationalities to represent Ghana in June this year.

Williams was Ghana's first-choice forward at the World Cup in Qatar. He failed to score a goal as Ghana's exited the tournament at group stage.

The Spain-born Ghanaian will return to La Liga action on January 9, 2023 when Athletic Bilbao host Osasuna.
