F1 Star Lewis Hamilton Plots Bold Manchester United Takeover With Sir Jim Ratcliffe
Record Formula 1 Champion Lewis Hamilton is reportedly considering the idea of buying Manchester United together with one of the United Kingdom's richest men, Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
Current Manchester United owners, the Glazer family, has been facing backlash from fans and recently revealed they would be open to selling the club.
The announcement drew interest from a number of tycoons who are preparing to face off to take over England's most successful club.
The Mirror reports that the list of suitors is long, but INEOS owner Sir Ratcliffe is among the serious candidates to buy the club. Ratcliffe is a long-time Manchester United fan.

It won't be the first time he has considered buying an English club after unsuccessfully bidding to get Chelsea from Roman Abramovich last season.
Hamilton was part of Ratcliffe's bid at that time and is believed they will table a joint bid for the Red Devils. The Mercedes driver is still going at 38 years of age but has already put plans in motion for his retirement.
Hamilton's networth
He recently invested in NFL club the Denver Bronchos. Hamilton is listed in the best-paid athletes list in the world by Forbes with a net worth of approximately 235 million euros.
He has in the past referred to Ratcliffe as a friend and business partner. The INEOS owner is a part owner of the Mercedes team alongside the Team Principal, Toto Wolff.
