Ex-United Defender Eric Bailly Slapped with 7 match Ban After Kung Fu Kick That Left Opponent in ICU.
Ex-Manchester United Defender Eric Bailly has received 7 match ban after his hard tackle on Almike Moussa N’Diaye that left him in ICU.
Eric Bailly left United after a series of injuries which deprived him of of game time and was sent on loan to french league one club Marseille but has taken a sudden twist after the defender got banned.
The Ivorian centre-back was shipped out temporarily by the Red Devils as he was considered surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.
However, his hopes of impressing during his short spell at Marseille have been dented after he was handed a seven-game ban for a tackle that left an opponent hospitalised.
According to Metro UK, Bailly was sent off in the 15th minute of Marseille's Coupe de France match against Hyeres earlier this month.
The centre-back was red-carded after he studded Hyeres midfielder Almike Moussa N’Diaye in the chest.
N'Diaye was subsequently rushed to the hospital and put in intensive care as a precaution after it emerged he had suffered pain in his lung and liver.
Bailly has already missed Marseille’s wins over Troyes and Lorient in the French top flight but is now set to spend more time out of action.
That implies that the former La Liga defender will only be available for selection once again when Marseille takes on Toulouse on February 19.
