Cristiano Ronaldo is set to DOUBLE his £175 million wage at Al Nassr
Cristiano Ronaldo is set to double his salary at Al Nassr by becoming an ambassador for Saudi Arabia's 2030 World Cup bid.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner officially signed a deal until 2025 with the Saudi Pro League leaders last Tuesday.
Ronaldo will earn a whopping £175 million-per-year after bringing his career in Europe to a close. He departed Manchester United in November via mutual consent, with the club given no choice after Ronaldo's bombshell interview with Piers Morgan.
The 37-year-old is in line to pocket so much more after completing the biggest transfer in Asian football history.
AFP per the Sun report Ronaldo will earn an additional £175 million for promoting Saudi Arabia's joint bid for international football's grandest spectacle with Egypt and Greece.
It's currently unknown if Ronaldo will receive this all at once or in increments. His total weekly earnings could eventually end up totalling £1 million-per-week.
A spokesperson has denied Ronaldo will be involved in promoting Saudi Arabia's bid to host the World Cup.
Ronaldo spoke fondly of the welcome he's received since arriving in Saudi Arabia, adding he's desperate to change the perception of football in Saudi Arabia.
He explained: "I’m so proud to make this decision in my life and football. For me it’s a new challenge I’m glad Al Nassr gave me this new opportunity.
