Ceballos 8.5, Vini 6: rating Real Madrid players in Real Sociedad draw

Dani Ceballos - 8.5

The midfielder had a dominant performance tonight and was everywhere on the pitch. Ceballos was very good in possession, always offering himself to his partners, pushed high to win the ball and contributed to the defence as well.

Eduardo Camavinga - 8

Again at left-back, the Real Madrid youngster did a very solid job on both ends of the pitch. He made good overlapping runs to support Vini and at times moved centrally to overload the midfield. Camavinga will give Mendy a run for his money once our starting left-back recovers.

Rodrygo - 7.5

The Brazilian was a constant threat to Real Sociedad's defence with his timely runs and good pressing. Rodrygo created several chances for his teammates and had a few opportunities to score but his shots were blocked by defenders.

Rodrygo operated equally well as a right winger and as an attacking midfielder later into the game.

Karim Benzema - 7

Benzema was very good with his passes tonight and contributed to the buildup. However, he is the striker and his main purpose is to score but we saw him register just one shot on goal tonight. The Frenchman should've assumed more responsibility towards the end of the game.

Vinicius Junior - 6

Vini had his moments of brilliance, that's undeniable. At the same time, he missed at least three big chances, two of them with only the goalkeeper in front of him. The winger was also wasteful in possession, losing 27 balls, and completing just 9/20 dribbles and 0/6 crosses.
