Better than Partey in two areas: How Caicedo compares to Arsenal midfielders this season
Arsenal are interested in Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo. The Gunners have reportedly had a £60m bid rejected for the Ecuadorian.
Caicedo's primary strengths include general distribution, creating chances and winning duels. He also provides box-to-box qualities from a typical No 6 role, patrolling the left-of-centre in defensive and opposition halves in almost equal measure.
But how does the 22-year-old compare to the Gunners' current midfielders in the Premier League this season?
According to Statsman, Caicedo has more tackles and interceptions (78) than all of Mikel Arteta's midfielders with Partey (55) and Saka (32) the closest.
For progressive passes, Partey has racked up 85 - five more than Caicedo and Martin Odegaard. However, the Ecuador international has attempted more through balls (7) than Partey (4). Odegaard has garnered 13.
