Barca assure Carrasco that he will be signed next summer

Barcelona have contacted Yannick Carrasco's entourage to ensure that they will sign him from Atletico Madrid next summer, Diario Sport's Lluis Miguelsanz reports.

The Catalans have a "preferential purchase option" on the player, agreed as part of the Memphis Depay deal, and are clear that they will trigger it. The club is happy with the financial terms agreed and Xavi is delighted with Carrasco's profile.

Yannick was ready to push for a move this winter but Barca did not want to put the negotiations over Memphis at risk.

As per prior reports, the Belgian will arrive at Camp Nou for a fee of around €15-20m.
