Atalanta Forward Lookman Vows To Beat Victor Osimhen to Serie A Top Scorer Award

Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman has vowed to beat fellow country man Victor Osimhen to the Serie A top scorer award by the end of the season.

 No African has won the prestigious prize in Italian football, but Osimhen and Lookman top the scorer’s chart so far this season. 

Osimhen has scored 13 times in 15 league games this campaign, while Lookman on the other hand has scored 11 goals in 18 outings for Atalanta. 

The 25-year-old is, however, confident he can turn the table against his international teammate .

Lookman told The Athletic as per Daily Post:

 ”I used to think about the future, you can get caught up in the future and the future will always come but the now is the most important.

 “Nah, not when he (Osimhen) is above you, anyway. I will catch him, Not I might, I will.”

Both attackers will be in action for their various clubs this weekend.
