Arsenal to push for Declan Rice move in summer even if Caicedo signing goes through
Arsenal will push to sign West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice in the summer, claims the Telegraph.
This is going to go through even if they are able to sign Brighton man Moises Caicedo in January.
The Gunners are really keen on really strengthening their midfield in the medium and long-term, with the two midfield targets considered as key to compete with Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey.
Even if they sign Caicedo for over £60m, the Gunners won’t shy away from a deal for the West Ham captain.
Mikel Arteta feels there is a real need for reinforcements this month after Mohamed Elneny got injured and Albert Sambi Lokonga proving himself as unreliable.
While Arsenal are aware they can’t make a move for Rice this month, they will compete for his signing in the summer alongside the likes of Chelsea and Man United.
