"We Will Wait For Messi":Mbappe Focuses On Winning Trophies At PSG Alongside Messi
Kylian Mbappe won't forget the heartbreak of the FIFA World Cup final, but he's not focusing antics of the Argentinians that took place afterwards.
Argentina's players, particularly goalkeeper Emi Martinez, mocked Mbappe after the South Americans beat France in the final to lift the World Cup trophy.
As noted by EWN, Mbappe said he would never get over the disappointment of losing in the final, but there was no reason why he should let it affect his game for Paris Saint-Germain.
Mbappe grabbed a goal as PSG returned to league action this week, scoring a late penalty as they beat RC Strasbourg 2-1.
Speaking after the game, the French striker once again touched on Argentinian celebrations and reuniting with Lionel Messi at the capital, SportsKeeda reported.
“Celebrations are not my problem. I don't waste energy on such futile things. The important thing for me is to give the best of myself for my club, and we will wait for Leo Messi to come back to continue scoring and winning games."
As noted by CNN, Messi is only expected back in France in early January.
After winning his first World Cup title, he will now be looking to bring PSG its first UEFA Champions League title alongside Mbappe and Brazilian star Neymar.
