Revealed: How much Man United have earned World Cup payments

As per the Manchester Evening News, FIFA paid a handsome sum to Manchester United to compensate for their players' participation in the Qatar World Cup.

Clubs are paid for every single day that players miss due to their World Cup commitments as part of scheme introduced in 2010.

And this time, United were paid the third-highest amount, totalling up to £21.9 million.

As many as 16 United players travelled to Qatar for the World Cup, with Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane going all the way to the final with Argentina and France respectively.
