Real Madrid confirms beating Barcelona to sign Endrick – Romano reveals final fee
It's now official, Real Madrid have beaten all suitors to sign Endrick Felipe from Palmeiras.
Real Madrid released a statement a few minutes ago confirming that they have reached an agreement with Palmeiras and the player's family to sign him.
However, Endrick cannot move to Europe until 2024 when he turns 18. Thus, Real Madrid will loan him back to Palmeiras until then.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid paid €60m to sign the 16-year-old striker. If they pay his taxes the fee could rise to €72m.
Barcelona were undoubtedly interested in Endrick but just couldn't pay the money. PSG and Chelsea were also keen on the player but he preferred a move to Madrid.
