Raphael Varane 'suffering from illness' ahead of World Cup final

As per The Telegraph, Raphael Varane and Ibrahima Konate are the latest France players to fall victim to a bug that's affected the squad ahead of the World Cup final with Argentina.

So far, players like Kingsley Coman, Adrien Rabiot and Dayot Upamecano have reported flu-like symptoms, missing training over the past few days.

And now, the Manchester United centre-back is a massive doubt to feature for France in the much-awaited final.

It's unclear what has led to the sickness but popular belief is it has to do with the constant airconditioning in Qatar stadiums and hotels.

With just 48 hours to go before Les Bleus defends their title, Varane faces a race against time to be available.
