According to an ⭐exclusive⭐ by The Sun, Paris Saint-Germain are weighing up the possibility of signing Fred next summer after watching him closely during the World Cup.
The Manchester United midfielder will see his contract expire in the summer of 2024 after the club triggered a one-year extension. That's unlikely to deter PSG from making a move anyway.
The Red Devils won't accept a fee below £30 million, The Sun understands. And that's not a huge fee for the cash-rich French side.
Fred's attitude and work rate are reportedly valued by Erik ten Hag but the boss appears to prefer pairing Casemiro and Christian Eriksen in midfield.
That has pushed Fred into somewhat of a peripheral role this season. The Brazilian, who will turn 30 in March, will have his international teammates Neymar and Marquinhos in PSG.
Now, Fred has never expressed a desire to leave and The Sun is, of course, not the best source. Even if there really is interest from PSG's side, we will have to wait and see how this develops.
