Mo Salah Equals Liverpool Legend Kenny Daglish's Record After Scoring Against Villa
Egypt forward Mohamed Salah has equalled the legendary Kenny Dalglish's goal record at Liverpool after scoring in the victory against Aston Villa on Boxing Day.
Salah opened the scoring and provided an assist as the Reds made a winning return to the English Premier League.
His goal against Aston Villa was his 172nd goal in the Liverpool shirt, and sits joint seventh in the list of scorers at the Merseyside outfit.
Salah has also joined Steven Gerrard as the only players to score more than fifty goals and provide fifty assists in the English Premier League.
Liverpool got off to a great start at the Villa Park after Salah met an Andy Robertson pass. Salah went from scorer to provider, serving a sumptuous assist for Virgil van Dijk to double the lead before half time.

After the break, Villa pulled one back through Ollie Watkins but there was enough time for Liverpool to restore their two-goal lead after Stefan Bajcetic sealed victory in the 81st minute.
Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk put the Reds in a commanding position before half-time.
But Jurgen Klopp's men had to endure some nervy moments in the second half after Ollie Watkins pulled a goal back for Villa before teenager Stefan Bajcetic came off the bench to secure the three points with his first senior goal.
