Man United Named As 'The Main Candidate' To Sign Joao Felix In Winter

Man United are the front-runners for the signing of Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid in January, claims Marca.

The Red Devils are the ‘best-placed’ team for signing him next month and have been declared as the main candidates for the Portuguese forward too.

However, United will now have to convince Atletico to loan him to them until the end of the season – after which they can make the deal permanent.

The Red Devils are also hoping the Spanish side will relent on their demands, as they’re unwilling to pay £8m just as a loan fee.

United have to make a proposal that satisfies Atletico and only then can a possible deal move forward.

Felix even scored a goal for the La Liga club on Thursday, helping them pick up a 2-0 win over Elche.
