Leao does not want to extend Milan contract beyond 2024: Sky Sports
As per Florian Plettenberg, Rafa Leao is not willing to extend his Milan contract beyond 2024 and is not confident with the club's offer.
Chelsea have held talks about him in Qatar but Real Madrid and Manchester City also remain interested.
Plettenberg reports that Chelsea did make an offer of €70 million but it was rejected by Milan who want his release clause of €150 million.
Milan's position isn't the strongest with Leao as his deal is close to expiry which makes the highly inflated price tag of €150 million is quite unreasonable.
Interested clubs could choose to wait out another year and sign the player in 2024 for free. That said, competition from Real and City could force Chelsea's hand to overpay for him.
