"I Want Messi To Return": Sergio Roberto

"I wanted Leo Messi to win the World Cup if Spain didn’t win, I’m happy for him. I congratulated Messi, but he has not responded to me yet," Sergi Roberto has told RAC1. (h/t 90min)

"I want [Messi to return], but it’s complicated because I read that he will renew with PSG. I haven’t spoken to him, but I’m sure that he won’t like any other club as much as Barça. It’s his boyhood club."

Messi must've received thousands of messages after his triumph in Qatar, it's no surprise that he hasn't had time to respond to some of them, so Roberto shouldn't take it personally.

As for Leo's return, it does indeed seem like the Argentine will sign an extension with the Parisians. Despite the declared interest, Barcelona have not formally approached him over a return.
