"I See Myself Playing Here For A Long Time":De Jong On His Barcelona Future

In the FC Barcelona: A New Era documentary filmed by Prime Video, Frenkie de Jong spoke about his future following the rumours linking him with a potential exit.

"I see myself playing here for a long time, I don’t care about the rumours and nobody from the club has told me anything. I don’t see it [leaving] happening to be honest, but if it does, it’ll disappoint me," the midfielder said.

Barcelona actively tried to sell Frenkie last summer and even managed to reach an agreement with Man United. However, the Dutchman refused to leave and won the battle against the club.

His solid performances before the World Cup seem to have convinced the Catalans to get him off the transfer list.
