'He Is Open To It': Xavi Reveals Plans To Use Raphina In New Position

In the presser ahead of the Espanyol game, Xavi revealed that he could try Raphinha in a new position in the second half of the season.

"He is open to playing more on the left. He's more comfortable on the right, it depends on the game. I've spoken to him this week and he's open to any position. And Ousmane Dembele can play on the left perfectly well," the Barcelona coach said.

Using Raphinha and Dembele at the same time has been a real change for Xavi. Both players prefer the right wing and tend to underperform when used on the opposite flank.

Interestingly, Raphinha started his career as a left winger but has made a name for himself after changing positions. The Brazilian played three games on the left for Barca but didn't show anything of substance.
