Glazers have taken out more money from Man United than any other Premier League owner
A report has revealed that no owners in the Premier League have taken out as much money from their clubs than the Glazers.
According to Football Economy, in just a little over a decade, United paid £154m to their owners (mainly the Glazers).
In comparison, it noted that others have put significant funds into their clubs (Manchester City £684m, Chelsea £516m and Aston Villa £506m)
In the 16 years since the Glazers’ arrival up to 2021, United’s £725m interest payment was nearly three times as much as the closest club, Arsenal with £251m.
It was very nearly as much as the rest of the Premier League combined - £749m.
The Glazer family, who bought United in 2005, revealed in November they were exploring "strategic alternatives" for the club - one of which was selling it.
