Former Madrid Coach Zinedine Zidane Linked With Brazil Job After Tite Departure
Experienced French tactician Zinedine Zidane is reportedly among the candidates shortlisted for the Brazil job.
The Brazil managerial role fell vacant following the departure of Tite who parted ways with the team after a frustrating World Cup campaign.
The Samba Boys were widely touted as the favourites to lift the tournament in Qatar due to the team's array of talent and experienced players.
However, the South American football giants suffered a heartbreaking elimination in the quarter-finals after they lost to Croatia in post-match penalties.
According to the Daily Mail, Brazil's poor World Cup outing saw Tite step down from his role, leaving the country's federation with no choice but to hunt for a replacement.
Reports in France now claim that Zidane is among the favourites to take charge of the South American country's national football team.
The 50-year-old is currently out of work after he dumped La Liga giants Real Madrid in May 2021.
According to reports, Brazil want to make Zinedine Zidane the new coach of the national side.
