Fans slam Barca board for poor decision making -- they could've sign World Cup star last year, but went for Ferran instead

Fans slam Barca board for poor decision making
Ex-representative of Julian Alvarez, Josep Maria Minguella, confessed that the 22-year-old had been offered to Barcelona before arriving at Manchester City last winter.

The striker, who was at River Plate at that time, had already been on the radar of several top European teams, such as City, who ended up getting him.

Despite having a chance to sign this young talent, Barca opted for Ferran Torres instead.

The side thought that Ferran would adapt better, as he was already playing in Europe.

What is certain is that Alvarez has quickly adapted to the Premier League, and is having a great World Cup campaign with Argentina — he's got nine goal contributions in 20 appearances for City, also scoring four and assisting one in Qatar.

Here's what the fans say on the matter:

ForcaBarca385: "Xavi has 0 talent ID. That's why i know he won't bring Moukoko, Odegaard and Morrocan DM, or Juranovic"

FerSt177: "If Julian was Spanish, they would have signed him already"

CruyffUnloxked: "Why does everyone pretend Alemany is so cool. He literally could've signed this gem but he didn't, went for Ferran instead"

Hambleboi: "I can blame xavi not Alemany. Xavi is the one who decides who is to be signed, and he chose ferran torres for 60m"

Juice3: "60m for morata 2.0 man city got both haaland and alvarez"

Marshall: "I wonder how Xavi and Laporta sign players that are not clever on the ball and keep making excuses"

Professor: "Scouting of Barca has been very bad since era of bartomeu tbh.. even now barca is not able to hunt and scout generational talent .. just pedri gavi balde wont help.. they need more fire young fire power in the forwards too".

Kwasi: "I blame that Spanish fraud of a Manager".

NoName: "Xavi has such a bad eye for talent. We should’ve went for him".
