Di Maria To Follow In Messi’s Footsteps By Continuing Argentina Career

Angel Di Maria is not ready to hang up his boots with the Argentina national team especially now that he is a world champion.

The 35-year-old played a key role in Argentina’s world cup success, scoring in the final against France as La Albiceleste clinched their third World Cup trophy.

According to Goal, Di Maria is now set to follow in the footsteps of Lionel Messi by continuing to play for the Argentina national team after their World Cup success.

The Juventus winger who has spent 14 years playing for the national team already since making his debut for Argentina in 2008, has accumulated 129 appearances for La Albiceleste.

Asides from scoring in the World Cup final, Di Maria has also netted in the Finalissima, as well as scoring the winner in the 2021 Copa America final.
