Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is once again on the receiving end of backlash after he wished his fans a Merry Christmas.
Salah joined other football stars in wishing their followers happy holidays with Christians all over the world marking the birth of Jesus Christ on December 25th.
It is the third time that Salah has shared a Christmas message sparking outrage from his Muslim fans. The Egyptian captain is a devout Muslim and the Christmas holiday is not a Muslim occasion.
In his recent pots, he uploaded a picture with his wife and two daughters all in matching outfits in front of a Christmas tree.

"We thought you were a role model and the best ambassador for your religion to influence others.
We did not expect you to be affected and to share with them (cursing and cursing God), Salah..
Don't be like someone who sells his religion with a little offer from God.
Congratulate them on fame or your satisfaction or money!
Whoever pleases people with God’s wrath, God will be angry with him and people will be angry with him.”

"Change your Arabic name because you are no longer Mohamed Salah. You are Michael Stephen"
@AliNurMohamed_ said:
"Merry Christmas the African GOAT. To us, you are Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Kylian Mbappe combined. Enjoy."
Salah has also in the past sparked controversy by declining to outrightly refute alcohol which is banned in Islam.
