Busquets considers early Spain retirement after change of coach
According to Relevo (5 stars), Sergio Busquets's original idea was to continue at the national team until the 2023 UEFA Nations League finals in June.
However, Spain sacking Luis Enrique and replacing him with Luis de la Fuente might result in the Barcelona midfielder deciding to call it quits now.
Busquets doesn't have a problem with the new coach. Nevertheless, Sergio understands that De la Fuente has to start a new project and it makes little sense to make himself available for the coach if he'll leave in 6 months anyway.
The veteran is expected to make a final decision before he resumes training at Barca on December 16.
As per previous reports, Busquets also considers leaving Camp Nou next summer when his contract expires although Xavi will reportedly try to convince him to stay for a little longer.
