Brother Of Former Man Utd Star Pogba Released After Spending Time In Prison

Mathias, who is the elder brother of Paul Pogba, has been released from prison after he was arrested and charged over an alleged extortion plot.

The 32-year-old had been in custody since September when he was arrested and pre-trial activated.

French outlet Le Parisien reports that Mathias has been freed and then his lawyer also confirmed the development to French TV channel BFMTV.

It was gathered that Mathias has been banned from contacting his mother, as well as Paul Pogba. Further reports have it that he is also barred from the use of social media and must not leave France.

Mathias, who had featured for Crewe, Wrexham and Crawley Town had requested to be released in September, but the plea was rejected, Complete Sports reports He, alongside five others, are under investigation after Juventus midfielder Paul claimed in August he was the victim of an £11million blackmail plot.

Mathias has insisted he is innocent. He has now been released after being held on the outskirts of Paris. It’s claimed he will live on his own in a family property in Paris.

Meanwhile, after bizarrely claiming that Pogba sought the services of a witch doctor to cast a spell on Kylian Mbappe, Mathias has now provided a specific game in which he claims Mbappe was under Pogba's spell.

Mathias has revealed that the Paris Saint-Germain clash against Manchester United in the Champions League in 2019 was the game in question.

Reports have it that he claimed Pogba wanted to neutralise Mbappe, who was on a rapid rise then.
