Barcelona Ready To Offload Winger Raphinha At The End Of The Season

Barcelona is ready to count their losses early on Raphinha as the Catalan giants are considering offloading the Brazilian winger after just one season. 

After splashing €65million to beat Chelsea to the signature of the 26-year-old winger, Raphinha has failed to establish himself in the Barca team so far this season.

According to Sportskeeda, Barcelona manager, Xavi prefers playing Ousmane Dembele in Raphinha’s favourite role which has limited the Brazilian to contributing just two goals in 18 games. 

The Catalan giants are also considering selling Raphinha to comply with the financial fair play rules with his sale set to generate around €50 million for the club.

 Several English Premier League clubs have already indicated interest in the winger although it is believed Raphinha wants to remain with Barcelona. 

Raphinha camp plead for more patience

 Meanwhile, representatives of Raphinha have asked Barcelona for more consistency and patience after it emerged the Brazil winger is on the list of players the club wants to offload, Barca Universal reports. 

Raphinha’s entourage has explained to the Spanish club that it is not easy to adapt to the tactical demands of a top team like Barcelona. 

Barcelona is not happy with the player’s performances up until this point of the season, and believes he is not meeting the club’s expectations.
