'At Times We Were Very Poor': Van Dijk Reacts To Leicester Win
"At times we were very poor today. But it is good to get the three points," Virgil van Dijk told Sky Sports after the Leicester win.
"It sounds like a cliche, but it’s very important to win these type of games. We did, so that’s the positive about tonight. So we have to recover, improve, and be ready for Brentford.
"It wasn’t good enough today, and we all know that. There are plenty of things we have to improve. They have quality up front, speed, and guys who can play balls in behind.
"A couple of times it was dangerous. A couple of times offside. That was their gameplan. Job done, let’s put it that way.
"At times today maybe we were a little too quick. We lost the balls in difficult situations and were more open. We have to take the three points, be confident, and move on to the next one."
Liverpool managed to get three points from the Leicester game even though they did not score a single goal. Wout Faes came to the rescue: the Foxes' centre-back scored two own goals.
