Aguero Wins $8000 For Betting On Messi To Win The Golden Ball Award

Lionel Messi made Sergio Aguero $8000 richer following his superb display for Argentina at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Argentina won the World Cup title for the third time in the country’s history with Messi playing a pivotal role for Albiceleste as they cruised to the title.

According to Sportskeeda, Sergio Aguero has made headlines after winning $8,000 for betting on Messi to win the Golden Ball award at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Messi was voted as the best player in Qatar 2022 after the Paris Saint-Germain star scored in the group stage, round of 16, quarterfinals, semi-finals, and final as Argentina battled hard to win the World Cup for the first time in 36 years.

Messi also entered the history books at the tournament as the first player to win the man of the match award on five occasions in a single World Cup tournament.
