Real Madrid resume training next week: 4 key things to know
The Real Madrid players not involved in the 2022 World Cup return to training on December 1, Diario AS say. Here are the most important things that you need to know.
1. Carlo Ancelotti will have 11 players at his disposal from day one: Andriy Lunin, David Alaba, Jesus Vallejo, Nacho, Alvaro Odriozola, Lucas Vazquez, Ferland Mendy, Toni Kroos, Dani Ceballos, Mariano, and Karim Benzema.
2. Benzema is recovering from injury and will train separately from the group at first. He is expected to receive the medical green light before Madrid's first game after the break.
3. Ancelotti will take advantage of the opportunity to have a look at some of the Castilla players. Sergio Arribas, Carlos Dotor, Takuhiro Nakai, Bruno Iglesias and Iker Bravo are among the players that could be summoned to train with the seniors.
4. La Liga resumes on December 31 with Real Madrid playing Real Valladolid away.
As per previous reports, the Blanco players will have a mini pre-season to get them in the best shape possible for the return of club competitions.
