'Patience': Benzema says Ronaldo still hasn't congratulated him on winning the Ballon d'Or

Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo were an incredible duo during their 9 joint years at Real Madrid. Besides combining well on the pitch, the two seemed to share a warm relationship off the pitch as well.

In a recent interview with Telefoot, Benzema was asked whether Cristiano had already congratulated him on the recent Ballon d'Or win.

"No, not yet," Karim responded. (h/t Mundo Deportivo)

"That's not too good," the interviewer commented.

"Patience," the Madrid striker said jokingly.

The Portuguese won five Ballon d'Ors and Benzema definitely helped him in that, so it is rather strange that Cristiano hasn't yet sent a message to his ex-teammate.

However, both forwards will be in Qatar for the 2022 World Cup, maybe Ronaldo will take advantage of the opportunity and get in contact with Big Benz.
