'One of the most difficult opponents in the world': Tomiyasu on facing Germany with Japan
"We have enough quality to beat them," said a confident Takehiro Tomiyasu as quoted by the Japan Times.
"Of course, we have to be confident, but we have to find the balance. We have to be humble and realistic sometimes, but we are trying to beat them and we are ready to beat them.
"Germany is one of the most difficult opponents in the world, but anything can happen in soccer, and we will make it happen."
This is the first time Japan will face Germany, who have lifted the World Cup four times in the past.
The Arsenal defender is in line for a start and will be eager to help his side keep a clean sheet in the big tournament.
