Messi: Luis Enrique and I had spectacular relationship

PSG star Leo Messi says his relationship with Spain coach Luis Enrique is "spectacular".

Messi admits he didn't always see eye-to-eye with his former Barcelona coach, though Enrique left with them both on good terms.

He recalled to Vamos: "I had a spectacular relationship with him, we told him to stay."

Messi admits they had had a "discussion" before Barça's famous visit to Real Sociedad, in the first game of 2015.

"I came back from Argentina after the holidays and we played on January 2 or 3, I don't remember exactly, and I ended up going to the bench and we had an argument that lasted a 'little time'... but then we had a spectacular relationship until the last day, when he decided to leave and we told him to stay, not to leave.

"We were fine."
