Mason Mount breaks silence on contract rumours

Mason Mount has stated that he has 'blocked out' all the noise in the media about his future as he focuses on battling for his place in the England team at the World Cup.

"I have always been so focused on my football since I was in the academy," Mount told the Evening Standard.

"I know now there is a lot more media focus on me, but I do not look too much into that. I block it out."

This could well be a confirmation that Mount's talks with Chelsea have been put on pause during the World Cup.

Liverpool and Juventus have been reported to be monitoring the 23-year-old's situation, with his current deal expiring in 2024.
