Mason Greenwood to appear in court over rape and assault charges
According to the Evening Standard, Mason Greenwood is due to appear at the Minshull Street Crown Court in Manchester later this Monday.
The 21-year-old has been charged with three counts of rape, assault and controlling behaviour all relating to the same woman.
His former partner shared videos and images online accusing him of the heinous crime, which led to a police investigation.
Greenwood was first held by authorities in January and was on bail since then. However, in October, he was arrested for breaching bail conditions and subsequently charged on all three counts.
He remains suspended by Manchester United and it remains to be seen how this court case plays out.
