Laporta names one underrated person behind Spain's great World Cup start, he's not a player
"For the [Spanish] national team to be doing so well is partly because of the good work that has been done at Barcelona," Joan Laporta has told the media, per Marca.
"Luis Enrique has made good decisions and picked a unite with players who mostly play for Barcelona. That makes it easier to adapt. Xavi deserves a lot of credit because he has got many of these players playing well at Barcelona," he added.
There are currently 8 Barcelona players in Luis Enrique's side – and most of them usually make his starting eleven. Surely, their chemistry with each other is one of the main reasons behind Spain's current success.
Spain beat Costa Rica 7-0 and shared the spoils with Germany 1-1 on the first two World Cup matchdays.
