Juventus midfielder Pogba a target of new criticism from Souness: I was the first to label him a pudding!
Liverpool legend Graeme Souness has taken fresh aim at Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.
Souness never held back on his opinions of Pogba during the midfielder's time with Manchester United, and the former Liverpool man has now revealed the exact moment he knew the France international was not going to make it.
Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: "No, I can remember the first time I saw him [Pogba], it was the semi-final of the Champions League, Juventus vs Real Madrid. I was with Jamie Redknapp and Thierry [Henry], Jamie was raving about this young midfielder, wait till you see him.
"And I came away from the game thinking 'he's not for me'. Never has been and I think I've been proved right and his time at Manchester United is a unmitigated failure.
"I think Manchester United are a fantastic football club; they are one of if not the biggest in the world, glamorous and most successful. Can I just call this out, who was the first person to call out Pogba as a pudding? [co-host Jim White: 'You'] I rest my case."
