'I won't risk the years I have left to play': Alexia Putellas provides update on recovery process, assures she won't rush her comeback

Despite returning to training after her surgery, Barca Femeni star Alexia Putellas still has a long way to go to make a full recovery.

Here's what the two-time Ballon d'Or winner said to Radio Catalunya the other day:

“I’m fine considering how serious this injury was. It’s [recovery] going well, I’m happy, and the knee is responding well to the rehab and the exercise. But you have to go step by step with these injuries,” she stated.

"I'd love to play as soon as possible, but I'll do when I feel I’m ready from a medical and athletic standpoint".
